We provide free access to over 2,500 journals, 900 serials and 26,000 book titles for Wikipedia editors, enabling them to disseminate scientific knowledge in accessible language to large audiences.

Collections of Nobel prize winner's work, published by Elsevier, are made freely available every year, while the laureates are honored through articles on Elsevier Connect.

On-site access

Elsevier creates dedicated resource centers which provide free access to curated, relevant research. This way, researchers, governments and institutions affected by disasters or special situations such as the Novel Coronavirus/COVID-19 can access essential content and continue their work.

Featured articles and special issues

Elsevier regularly promotes articles such as our top downloaded or most cited articles to researchers through promotional campaigns and special issues. Articles included in these campaigns are free for everyone to access for a limited period.
